Friends and family among mourners at Amy Winehouse funeral

London (CNN) -- Record producer Mark Ronson, who worked with Amy Winehouse on her Grammy-winning album "Back to Black," was among the mourners arriving Tuesday at the singer's funeral, according to CNN affiliate ITV.

But the singer's ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was not released from prison to attend the memorial, a source familiar with the situation said. He is serving a 32-month sentence for burglary and possession of an imitation firearm, according to media reports.
Sparse details are being released about the ceremony -- including exactly when and where it will occur -- though Winehouse spokesman Chris Goodman said "it will be a small, private event for a few friends and family."
Investigators might not know what killed Winehouse until they get results from lab tests on her blood and tissue, due in two to four weeks, according to London's Metropolitan Police, also known as Scotland Yard.
An autopsy was completed at St. Pancras Mortuary on Monday afternoon, two days after the singer was found dead in her London apartment.
"It did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further toxicology tests," a police statement said.
An inquest into her death was opened Monday, the statement said.
"Inquiries continue into the circumstances of the death," Scotland Yard said in a statement Sunday. At this stage, the death of 27 year old "is being treated as unexplained and there have been no arrests in connection with the incident," police said.
The singer, beloved for her talent but infamous for erratic public behavior, arrests and drug problems, was found dead Saturday.
Winehouse's family said in a statement Sunday it "has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives. We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."
"We are trying to come to terms with the death of a dear friend and colleague, the most amazing artist and talent," her management company, Metropolis Music, said Sunday. "We will always remember Amy as a vibrant, funny, caring young woman who made everyone around her feel welcome. We have lost a very special person, part of our family."
Winehouse's soulful, throaty vocals brought the British musician stardom in 2007, but her troubled off-stage life -- chronicled in her Top 10 hit "Rehab" -- won her notoriety. Her death came less than two months after her latest release from a rehabilitation program and weeks after she was booed offstage by disappointed fans in Belgrade, Serbia.
Winehouse died at the same age as at least four other music legends. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison each died of drug overdoses when they were 27. Kurt Cobain was 27 when he committed suicide, soon after his release from rehab.
Police were called to Winehouse's Camden Square apartment just after 4 p.m. Saturday in response to a report of "a woman found deceased," authorities said.
"Everyone who is involved with Amy is shocked and devastated," Goodman said. "Our thoughts are with her family and friends."
Winehouse's official website carried nothing but a black-and-white photo of the singer.
Her song "Rehab," in which she sang "They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no," helped form the public's view of Winehouse. She told CNN in a 2007 interview, "I don't care enough about what people think of me to conform to anything."
The London-born singer was a tattooed teenage rebel after she was expelled from a prestigious performing arts school. Her first album, "Frank," debuted in 2003, when the singer-songwriter was 19.
International success came with her 2007 album "Back to Black." She dominated the 2008 Grammys, winning five awards that night and delivering, via satellite from London, a strong performance of "Rehab."
Winehouse's volatile marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil took a toll on the singer's career. The couple divorced in 2009 after a stormy two years filled by drug addiction and arrests.
Winehouse's parents went public with their efforts to help their daughter, telling the London Telegraph in 2009 that she was on the road to recovery.
"A gradual recovery, which is good," Winehouse's father told the Telegraph. "With slight backward steps -- not drug backward steps, more drink backward steps if you follow my drift. I think that will be the pattern of recovery."
The organization that awards the Grammys issued a statement Saturday calling Winehouse "a dynamic performer and musician who seamlessly blended rock, jazz, pop, and soul and created a sound all her own."
"Her rich, soulful and unique voice reflected her honest songwriting and earned her a devoted fan following, critical acclaim, and the genuine respect and admiration of her musical peers," the Recording Academy statement said. "She will forever be remembered for her immense talent, and her music will live on for generations to come. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time."
CNN's Bharati Naik, Denise Quan and Alan Duke contributed to this report.

Amy Winehouse Died in Bed with No Sign of Drugs Nearby

Amy Winehouse may have been dead for up to six hours before a security guard found her body in bed at around 4 p.m. London time on Saturday.

The five-time Grammy winner last spoke to her security team at 10 a.m. Saturday, telling them she was going to sleep. Rigor mortis had set in by the time she was found, suggesting she had been dead for several hours.

Sources tell Britain'sSun newspaper that Winehouse, 27, had seen a doctor Friday night as part of a routine series of regular checkups, given her battle with addiction. The doctor saw nothing amiss.

Winehouse had been strong enough that same night to play a drum kit in her bedroom – so loud that neighbors complained.

Cause of death is not yet known; a toxicology report could take weeks to complete.

A police source tells PEOPLE there was no paraphernalia or sign of drugs in Winehouse's Camden home, which became the scene of makeshift memorials following news of the troubled singer's death.

Her father Mitch made an appearance at the Camden house Monday to thank fans who had built the tribute to his daughter in flowers and memorabilia. He said the family was "devastated and speechless."

"I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier for us," he said of the tributes.

"Amy was about one thing, and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends, and to you guys as well," he told fans gathered in Camden Square.

Winehouse's friend and PR man Chris Goodman tells the Sun that she had suffered setbacks in recent weeks in her battle against addiction.

"She was on the mend but she lapsed over the past month," he said. "Her death has come as a great shock. She was a fantastic talent and a sweet girl."

Amy Winehouse Wrapping Up New Album

Her new album is due sometime this year.

Amy Winehouse has been working on her follow up to the 2004, 5 time Grammy winning Black to Black. She has been recording the new album in the Caribbean and in the UK.

When asked about the whereabouts of her new album, she said, "The album will be six months at the most, it's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff... I just can't wait to have some new songs [to perform] on stage."

Winehouse has been criticized for a recent performance where she forgot the words of the song. She has also been accused of performing under the influence during some live shows and televised appearance. But Winehouse explained, "Mark and I recorded two versions of Valerie," Winehouse later explained. "We released the one that came out like the Supremes but I play the other version with my band. When I got there I completely forgot it was his version we were singing so I was probably a bit out of sync."

Are Amy And Blake No More?

The marriage is off...

16:41, Monday, 10 May 2010

Amy Winehouse has had some recent times, as we know, but now things have gone from bad to worse for the Valerie hit-maker. Reports claim that Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil has apparently called off their second wedding.

The couple got divorced in July 2009 but the couple then reunited and Blake revealed earlier this year that they were planning to walk down the aisle one more time, but not anymore.

Some new photos were published a few days ago of Winehouse allegedly getting a bit too close with a neighbour in the garden of her London home.

A source told The Daily Star: "Blake had his suspicions about the neighbour so when the pictures emerged of them together he confronted her. He's now in absolute bits. He thought that this time it was going to be forever but now he's convinced himself that she's up to no good and he's moved back up to Sheffield.”

They added: "They had a massive row before he left and she did little to reassure him that their relationship would be okay. He was due to move into her new house and they were serious about having a baby. Amy's been ringing him but he's stopped answering. He just can't get the image of her cheating out of his head."

Amy Winehouse Claims She's Got a Bug up Her Ass

Amy Winehouse has stated that the courts have planted a bug up her ass, according to a lady who sat next to her on the New York Subway Friday.

"We were just sitting there on our way uptown when this lady with a strange hairdo and sort of wild look in her eyes told me she had a bug up her ass," Mrs Milo Waterhouse of Queens, told me.

"You see all kinds on the subway", she added, "but she was a hoot."

"Did you know who it was?"

"No. I still don't. There are so many here like that in New York. She got on right after I did and came and sat down real gingerly. Then she went into this longass story about a trial date she had coming up about her hitting someone and I'm thinking, 'I hope she doesn't hit me' so I just nodded my head like I always do, and gave her a kind smile.

"She then went on and on about the Police in Britain and DC with all these secret microphones really small but I refused when she told me to scream into her ass so it would cause the listener to go deaf."

"Why don't you just cut a big fart?', I asked and she said she tried but the bug kept her cheeks too far apart. I had to turn my head and laugh.

"Winehouse then reportedly wanted to show Waterhouse her ass to see if the FBI had planted "a bug up her wazzo!" because it had felt odd for days.

Then, according to Waterhouse, she claimed they might be related because of their last names, Winehouse and Waterhouse.

Mrs. Waterhouse said she told her they could be and tried to be nice.

"I couldn't help asking her about the fact that she might have been probed by aliens", laughed Waterhouse. "I'm an old fart, you know that?"

Amy Winehouse: The Worst Dressed Female Celebrity

Lakeside Shopping Centre, in Thurrock, Essex has conducted an interesting poll recently. In accordance to the poll, Amy Winehouse has been named the worst dressed female celebrity! The poll has also revealed that showing off a flabby midriff is considered the most shocking offence among six out of 10 Britons.

Amy Winehouse topped the worst dressed poll for her dishevelled 1950s style. Jodie Marsh and Peaches Geldof were in second and third places respectively. Shell–suits tucked into socks, G–strings showing, head–to–toe animal prints, muffin tops, black shoes with white socks and the mullet haircut are all on the list of what not to wear.
With his pseudo–Victorian garb, Russell Brand has been picked as the worst dressed male, followed closely by Michael Jackson
, Simon Cowell and Mickey Rourke. When it comes to crimes against fashion, we've all been guilty of the odd misdemeanour – but there's no excuse for sloppy dressing. The poll has also unearthed fashion skeletons of more than 1,000 Britons. Shell–suits emerged as the most disastrous item for men, while puffball skirts topped the poll of closet catastrophes for women, just ahead of shoulder pads.

Amy Winehouse Burned

This chick loves the gross pics...

Photos have been circulating of Amy Winehouse sporting a very weird patch of pink skin on her leg. Sources have revealed that the patch is the result of a burn she received while cooking pasta. Check it out below. Amy reportedly spilled boiling water on her leg while making dinner for friends.

A source said: "Amy's burns looked so painful - she should really get them looked at. They were covered in sand."

A spokesman said: "She's not in a lot of pain, she's just letting it breathe."

Meanwhile, heroin addict Gilleen Morris is claiming she is pregnant with Amy's estranged husband's baby.

Biography

Fresh from her triumphant performance at the Brits where she picked up the British Female Solo Artist award, Amy Winehouse has her much anticipated new single, ”Back To Black”, released on April 16th through Island Records. The single is the title track from Amy’s stunning album “Back To Black”, which this week re-gained the no. 1 slot, and looks set to go triple –platinum in a matter of weeks with sales fast approaching the 900,000 mark. Amy is currently in the middle of her sell-out UK tour which will be followed by her first ever US tour. The American dates kick off with a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City where Amy will also mark her US television debut with a performance on the David Letterman Show.

It’s been a fantastic few months for Amy since the release, at the end of October ’06, of her anthemic single “Rehab”. “Rehab” entered the chart at no. 7 and was followed by “Back To Black” which was released to universal acclaim and finished the year topping many end of year polls. A second single, “You Know I’m No Good”, featuring Ghostface Killah, was released in January and gave Amy her second big hit. Two Brit nominations, a South Bank Show award and an Elle Style award followed before Amy scooped the British Best Female last week at Earl’s Court. Amy’s live shows feature songs drawn from her platinum debut “Frank” and “Back To Black”. “Frank” established Amy as one of the most exciting and challenging artists in pop music, and “Back To Black” proves, beyond any reasonable or unreasonable doubt, what a truly remarkable talent she is. Winehouse’s song-writing and fearlessness as a lyric writer has been grafted onto some of the most astonishing material of her short career so far. “Back To Black” sees her teaming up once again with “Frank” producer Salaam Remi and, for the first time, with New Yorker Mark Ronson (Lily Allen, Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera).

Two years ago, following the success of “Frank”, Amy began thinking about what she’d like to do with her second record. “Frank” was her grand and suitably blunt-speaking break-up record, and it won her a battalion of fans around the world, marking her out as one of the most distinct new voices in pop; confessional, elemental and with that rarest of combinations: humour and soul. “I didn’t want to play the jazz thing up too much again. I was bored of complicated chord structures and needed something more direct. I’d been listening to a lot of girl-groups from the fifties and sixties. I liked the simplicity of that stuff. It just gets to the point.” You can hear it on the subtley Supremes-referencing intro of “Back To Black”. But her reach stretches further. While the girl-groups of the sixties to which she had become enthralled contained their vocals, Amy can break loose with Aretha-style vocal stylings on “Just Friends” or by turning the whole idea of drying out into a gospel spiritual on the stunning opener “Rehab”. “Love is a Losing Game” is pure classic modern song-writing: brief, to the point and drenched in emotion. Other highlights include the Nas inspired “Me and Mr Jones”, the beautiful “Wake Up Alone”, “I’m No Good”, the personal epiphany that you can behave just as badly as all those guys that have messed you around and stamped all over you, and the bluesy smooch of the title track, “Back To Black”.
