Amy Winehouse has stated that the courts have planted a bug up her ass, according to a lady who sat next to her on the New York Subway Friday.

"We were just sitting there on our way uptown when this lady with a strange hairdo and sort of wild look in her eyes told me she had a bug up her ass," Mrs Milo Waterhouse of Queens, told me.

"You see all kinds on the subway", she added, "but she was a hoot."

"Did you know who it was?"

"No. I still don't. There are so many here like that in New York. She got on right after I did and came and sat down real gingerly. Then she went into this longass story about a trial date she had coming up about her hitting someone and I'm thinking, 'I hope she doesn't hit me' so I just nodded my head like I always do, and gave her a kind smile.

"She then went on and on about the Police in Britain and DC with all these secret microphones really small but I refused when she told me to scream into her ass so it would cause the listener to go deaf."

"Why don't you just cut a big fart?', I asked and she said she tried but the bug kept her cheeks too far apart. I had to turn my head and laugh.

"Winehouse then reportedly wanted to show Waterhouse her ass to see if the FBI had planted "a bug up her wazzo!" because it had felt odd for days.

Then, according to Waterhouse, she claimed they might be related because of their last names, Winehouse and Waterhouse.

Mrs. Waterhouse said she told her they could be and tried to be nice.

"I couldn't help asking her about the fact that she might have been probed by aliens", laughed Waterhouse. "I'm an old fart, you know that?"

The poll has also revealed that showing off a flabby midriff is considered the most shocking offence among six out of 10 Britons.

Amy Winehouse topped the worst dressed poll for her dishevelled 1950s style. Jodie Marsh and Peaches Geldof were in second and third places respectively. Shell–suits tucked into socks, G–strings showing, head–to–toe animal prints, muffin tops, black shoes with white socks and the mullet haircut are all on the list of what not to wear.

Photos have been circulating of Amy Winehouse sporting a very weird patch of pink skin on her leg. Sources have revealed that the patch is the result of a burn she received while cooking pasta. Check it out below. Amy reportedly spilled boiling water on her leg while making dinner for friends.

A source said: "Amy's burns looked so painful - she should really get them looked at. They were covered in sand."

A spokesman said: "She's not in a lot of pain, she's just letting it breathe."

Amy Winehouse's legal problems may have her banned in the USA right now, so what's a gal to do?

Head for the Caribbean.

It was announced earlier today that Winehouse is going to headline the 18th Annual St. Lucia Jazz festival in May. She had to drop out of next month's Coachella music festival in the California desert because she's unable to obtain a work visa in time due to lingering assault charges she's facing in the U.K.

Sen. Allen Chastanet, St. Lucia's Minister of Tourism, tells me talks with Winehouse began during her recent two-month vacation on the small island nation.

"When she was in St. Lucia, it really was a positive influence on her," Chastanet tells me. "She had a really great time."

Winehouse will perform May 8 with KC and the Sunshine Band opening for her. About 6,000 people per night are expected to attend the festival, which runs from May 2 to 10. Others on the bill include Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Chicago and Michael McDonald.

Winehouse will be put up at the new $100 million Tides Sugar Beach resort.

"She's welcome to stay as long as she wants to," Chastanet says. "We enjoy having her there. I wish we had recording facilities for her. I know she was trying very hard to record her album down there. That is something the government is working on down the road."

Chastanet insists he's confident Winehouse will honor her commitment. "What's very nice about the whole thing is we spoke to her and we spoke to her management and she really wants to do this to say thank-you to St. Lucia," he said. "I think this is something that she legitimately wants to do. So on that basis, I'm really not nervous."

Amy Winehouse has reportedly been released from the hospital after collapsing in the Caribbean.

According to the Indo-Asian News Service, the troubled British singer was taken to a medical facility on the island of St. Lucia after suddenly falling ill.

A rep for Winehouse says she collapsed after running out of medication she had been using in her ongoing battle against drugs.

Winehouse has been enjoying some r&r at the resort since December, following numerous health problems throughout 2008, which included a stint in rehab and several prolonged stays in hospital.

Amy Winehouse is the scariest celebrity in Britain, according to a new poll.

The FilmOn.com research saw the Back To Black singer named the most frightening female figure, with Michael Jackson the scariest male.

Other famous women in the top ten included Kerry Katona, Jodie Marsh and Sharon Osbourne, while Russell Brand, Pete Doherty and Ronnie Wood ranked among the men.

X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue appeared further down the list, as did comedian Alan Carr and politician Peter Mandelson."I certainly find the prospect of meeting Amy Winehouse down a back alley a frightening one - I can imagine her shrieking and cackling over a bubbling cauldron," said FilmOn founder Alki David.

It’s been a while since Amy Winehouse’s erratic behavior has resulted in an aggressive attack, but it seems that the troubled singer has once again resorted to hitting anyone who has the misfortune of rubbing her the wrong way. While attending a recent charity ball, Amy Winehouse reportedly punched a female dancer in the eye.

According to The Sun, Sherene Flash (30), was punched by Winehouse after she asked the singer if she could take a picture with her. Amy Winehouse reportedly tore off after the hitting incident, shouting, “Life can’t go on. I can’t do this any more.”

After the incident, cops were called to the End Of Summer Ball in central London, where Amy Winehouse had performed to take a statement from Flash. Winehouse has not yet given a statement, but is expected to shortly.

A source speaking to The Sun explained, “Sherene asked Amy if she could take a photo. Amy was OK at first, but when Sherene asked if a friend could get in the shot, Amy lashed out.”
A source added, “She was getting distressed. There was a lot of grabbing and flashbulbs were going off. She was startled.” Anyone who can handle taking a photograph with one person but not with two, clearly seems like they’re in fine condition to be performing in front of an audience...

We feel kind of like a broken record, considering how many times this point has been made, but there always seems to be a larger issue than the one at hand in these recent Amy Winehouse stories. Rather than letting these erratic instances pile up, wouldn’t it be better for people to stop hiring Winehouse to perform until she gets help? You have to wonder how many people have to get punched/how many substances have to be inhaled before somebody somewhere will step up and say enough is enough.

A joke which mocks Amy Winehouse's troubles has been voted the funniest joke at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Zoe Lyons' joke - “I can't believe Amy Winehouse self-harms. She's so irritating she must be able to find someone to do it for her.” - won a public vote.

The joke featured in the comedian's show, Mangled Mantra of the Messed-Up Modern Mind.

She said she was “delighted” to have won the award. “I know self-harming is not funny but it's just a joke, so I'm not going to beat myself up about it," she added.

Second place in the vote by TV channel Dave went to comedian Andrew Laurence, with his joke: "Most of us have a skeleton in the cupboard. David Beckham takes his out in public."

The Fringe festival, which celebrates art and culture, ends this weekend following a month of performances.

In Escape From Rehab, players use an assortment of weapons to break her out of a clinic.They also have to help husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, get out of jail.

The animated version of the singer, 24, knocks out people with her rock hard beehive and chucks booze.

'It's tongue-in-cheek but this is the last thing Amy needs at the moment,' a source tells the Daily Star.

The game is being used to promote the film Disaster Movie.

Winehouse inspires Guess' autumn, winter range

Fashion label Guess are about to launch their autumn and winter range with troubled British singer Amy Winehouse as the inspiration.

Thesun.co.uk reports that they have hired Australian model Nicole Trunfio for the campaign because of her likeness to the wayward singer. Trunfio will be seen with beehive hair, tiny shorts and headscarf.

But Winehouse right now seems to be at the lowest point of her life and is not the best role model. Her drug problems have made her irresponsible and it seems she is headed for self-destruction.

(CNN) -- There was a time when Amy Winehouse was as talked about for her talent as she was for her behavior.
Her first album, 2003's "Frank," earned rave reviews in her native Britain for her unique voice -- an instrument that featured touches of Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington and Ray Charles -- and clever songwriting, attributes that were enough to put the jazz-inflected album on the shortlist for the UK's prestigious Mercury Prize and win Winehouse a top British songwriting award.

Then, when her drinking and drug abuse first became topics of tabloid conversation, she turned the topic around with "Rehab," an autobiographical song that became the first hit off her second album, "Back to Black." "They tried to make me go to rehab," she sang, "I said no no no."
With producers Salaam Remi (who helmed "Frank") and Mark Ronson behind the boards, and crack soul band the Dap-Kings offering support, "Back to Black" zoomed up the charts and became her American breakthrough, becoming one of the hot titles of 2007. DJs remixed her songs; artists such as Prince and George Michael wanted to work with her.

Winehouse won five Grammys for her work in February, including honors for best new artist, song of the year and record of the year (both for "Rehab").

If Winehouse's deliberately off-the-rack look -- beehive hairdo, heavy eyeliner, haphazard clothes -- once made her seem boho and hip, her repeated appearances on the tabloid pages presented her as pathetic. If "Rehab" once seemed an amusing poke in the eye to her minders, it took on darker overtones as Winehouse was hospitalized for various ailments and actually did go to rehab, most recently in early 2008, in an attempt to kick her drug and alcohol addictions.

And that doesn't even address her other problems: her sometimes contentious relationship and marriage with the equally troubled Blake Fielder-Civil, currently serving time for assault and obstructing justice after brawling with a pub manager and then offering him $400,000 to keep quiet; her uneven concert appearances, which have included drunken behavior and fan assault; her battles with various authorities, ranging from the American Embassy in London (which denied her a visa to travel to the U.S. to perform at the Grammys) to her father.

Which leaves the question of what's next for Winehouse -- who is just 24 (she turns 25 in September) -- forever up in the air.

In June, she was rushed to the hospital after fainting; her father, Mitch Winehouse, told reporters that cigarettes and crack have jeopardized her lungs. On Monday she was back in the hospital, this time for an adverse reaction to medication.

She's forever working on new material, Mitch Winehouse told the Times of London. "Amy can be creative when most other people would be checking into a hospice. When she can hardly stand up, she's got her books in front of her, scribbling away," he said.

But, he added, "She only writes songs from her personal experiences, and they're all more or less painful. It's a shame. But that's the way she is."

The Winehouse family was always into music. A number of her mother's relatives were jazz musicians, according to Allmusic.com, and Amy grew up listening to Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington.

But it was also a clan riven by divorce, with Winehouse's parents splitting when she was 9.

In her teens she formed a duo based on the American R&B act Salt 'n' Pepa; it was called Sweet and Sour. Later, an expulsion from a London drama school turned into a break when a musician schoolmate gave her demo tape to a music business executive. Winehouse was eventually signed to Island Records, for whom she put out "Frank."

Once Winehouse started establishing her wild-child reputation, the tabloids jumped on her story and never let go. They trumpeted her missed concerts, shaky performances, weight loss, shambling manner. One set of photos, in 2007, showed her bloodied after an apparent argument with Fielder-Civil; another, from a raw-looking video, showed her apparently smoking crack.

She has a love-hate relationship with the paparazzi, Rolling Stone reported earlier this month, and the photographers appear to have equally mixed feelings: "She's on loads of crack, but you can see through that," Simon Gross, a freelance photographer, told the magazine. "I just want for her to get better. I'm hoping someday for that set of pictures of her riding her bike in the park or something healthy."

For all that, the talent continues to shine through. Her Grammy performance, finally held at a London club, earned raves; she also pulled herself together for a tribute to Nelson Mandela in late June. (The next day, however, she slugged a fan at the Glastonbury Festival; the festival's organizer said she had been groped.)

She characterizes herself as madly in love with Fielder-Civil, whom she calls "my Blake," though her father blames him for some of her problems. (He also told Rolling Stone that being in prison has changed Fielder-Civil, and hopes that the pair can break away from their demons by moving from their London neighborhood.)

Whether she can turn her life around, however, is anyone's guess.

In 2007, a Rolling Stone writer asked her what she thought was her worst vice. Her reply captured both her allure and her flaws.
"Mainly that I'm quite reckless and always throw caution to the wind," she said.

Amy Winehouse Accused of Attacking a Man in Pub

As the sentencing of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, nears, Amy Winehouse has been accused of lashing out at a stranger – for the third time in two weeks.

In the most recent altercation, she reportedly punched a fellow drinker at Camden's Dublin Castle pub in what was claimed was an unprovoked attack.

"She was in front of me at the bar and suddenly turned and walloped me three times across the face. It really stung," Wayne Lindsay, 29, told Britain's Daily Mirror. "I couldn't believe it. I hadn't said a word to her or touched her."

According to the paper, the recently hospitalized "Rehab" singer then stormed out of the North London tavern. A source close to the singer tells PEOPLE that Winehouse merely reacted because someone grabbed her from behind – and that her security then stepped in. (The insider added that she has felt an increasing need for bodyguards in recent weeks.) On July 7, Winehouse reportedly hit another fan who was trying to photograph her as she returned to her home. Both incidents follow the widely-documented episode in which the star struck out at a fan during the Glastonbury festival. Her rep declined to comment.

Amy Winehouse’s Husband’s Got More Legal Troubles

Amy Winehouse’s incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil received some bad news about his legal standings…a break from the barrage of bad news that we’re sure he’s been hearing about Amy Winehouse’s medical condition…although something tells us that Blake isn’t exactly the picture of perfect health himself.

The legal blow came on Wednesday, when a British court handling Fielder-Civil’s case acquitted a former pub manager of taking a bribe in order to hush up charges of assault against Fielder-Civil.

According to reports, a jury spent three long hours deciding whether or not the pub-owner, James King, was guilty of the British equivalent of obstruction of justice- before ultimately deciding that he was not, and reaching a verdict of not guilty. The not guilty verdict could ultimately work against Fielder-Civil when he is sentenced in the case against him.

In 2006, Blake Fielder-Civil, along with several of his friends broke King’s cheekbone in a fight. Following that charming incident, Fielder-Civil and his cronies bribed the bartender with $400,000 in order to stay quiet about the incident during official investigations.

Fielder-Civil was arrested in 2007 and has remained in prison ever since. King later claimed that he was intimidated into withdrawing his assault claim against the group of men who had hurt him.

Amy Winehouse’s husband, as well as three other men, has already admitted to the fight, as well to offering the bribe.

Blake Fielder-Civil as well as the other men are due to be sentenced next month. Fielder-Civil has often been accused, especially by Amy Winehouse’s parents, of being heavily responsible for their daughter’s addictions to hard drugs, which they claim that Blake Fielder-Civil got her into.
We can’t help but feel that the longer Blake stays away from her, the longer Amy Winehouse has at least a fighting chance of actually kicking the drug habit. We have no idea however, how to get her to quit the cigarettes…

Amy Winehouse's drug death warning

Amy Winehouse has been warned she must quit drugs or risk death. The troubled singer was hospitalised on Monday after fainting and was kept in last night for further tests to establish why she collapsed.

A source revealed to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Eventually she won't get up again. "The only thing to stop that happening is if she quits drugs." Doctors believe Amy's blackout could be linked to her drugs overdose last summer.

The 24-year-old star had several seizures last year and tests allegedly revealed her condition was linked to drugs. She was told at the time to get clean or run the risk of continuing medical problems.

The source added: "After this, it looks like they were right." Worried friends believe the singer - who is due to perform at the Glastonbury music festival and Nelson Mandela's birthday celebrations later this month - needs to take a break from music in order to recover.

A friend said: "She should not work for at least six months. It is irresponsible of her team to keep putting her on stage. "She needs to get away from temptations." Amy's dad Mitch - who is keeping a vigil by her bedside at The London Clinic - said yesterday: "She's doing fine." Her spokesperson said: "Amy is still having tests done. They want to keep her in for observation. Her father is still by her side."

LONDON (AP) -- A spokesman for Amy Winehouse says the 24-year-old soul diva is having more hospital tests after fainting earlier this week.

Spokesman Chris Goodman says Winehouse had more scans and tests Thursday.

Winehouse collapsed Monday at her north London home after signing autographs for a group of fans. An assistant caught her before she hit the ground.

She is scheduled to sing at a June 27th concert to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, and is due to take part in the Glastonbury music festival the next day.

Her spokesman says that although Winehouse still plans to perform at both concerts, the decision "will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests."

Amy Winehouse's lyrics have been used in a Cambridge University exam question.

One of the institution's final exams asked English students to compare Winehouse's lyrics from the 'Back To Black' track 'Love Is A Losing Game' to works by another writer.

Students had to compare Sir Walter Raleigh's 'As You Came From The Holy Land' with either 'Love Is A Losing Game', Bob Dylan's 'Boots Of Spanish Leather' or Billie Holiday's 'Fine And Mellow'.

A spokesperson from Cambridge University told BBC News that the question wasn't usual, but that students were often asked to compare pieces by different writers.

'Love Is A Losing Game' won an Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically And Lyrically last week (May 22).

Amy Winehouse has confirmed she has been working on the title track from forthcoming Bond movie Quantum Of Solace - following weeks of speculation about the track. The troubled star was rumored to have been dropped as the film's official musical muse after DJ Mark Ronson told reporters he had scrapped his 007 collaboration with the singer because she was not "ready" to work on music after a recent return to her erratic ways.

But Winehouse has now confirmed that she has in fact completed the song and is just waiting to get the green light from movie bosses over whether the song will be used in the film, which is due in cinemas later this year.

She says, "I've written the song. If they like it, they like it. If they don't, they don't."
And Ronson adds, "If I talk about it (James Bond star) Daniel Craig will whack me in the eyes. Amy wrote the song on an acoustic guitar. It was my job to help with the arrangement and realise the sound we were going for. So that was my role."

Singer denies reports she is set to fly to the country for treatment
Amy Winehouse has denied reports that she is set to travel to Israel for drug treatment.

The Jewish Chronicle and The Sun reported that the singer was set to attend the Barzilai Medical Centre to undergo a £6,400 operation that would prevent her craving drugs in the future.

However, a spokesperson for Winehouse has dismissed the reports as false.

"These are just old rumours," her spokesperson told the Telegraph. "She’s going back in the studio and has absolutely no plans to go abroad for treatment."

Winehouse too late to pick up award

Amy Winehouse won a songwriting "Oscar" - but arrived too late to pick up her gong.

The 24-year-old's father Mitch had to go on stage to collect her Ivor Novello for Best Song Musically and Lyrically on his daughter's behalf.

Judges of the prestigious Novello put the singer's troubles behind her to award her the title for her self-penned track Love Is A Losing Game.

A message of thanks read out by Mitch Winehouse failed to mention the singer's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is in jail awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Mitch told the audience, which featured names like David Gilmour and Mark Ronson: "I don't know what I'm doing up here. Amy unfortunately couldn't make it but she's getting better and she sends you all her love."

Last year, Winehouse's autobiographical track Rehab, which she wrote about her refusal to seek treatment for her drinking, won the Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary song.

Mitch said: "She's asked me to thank the Ivors for being the first to recognise her talent."

Winehouse did turn up when the ceremony was more than halfway over. The bee-hived star sat on a table while draping her arms around her father. She said afterwards: "I'm fine. Really well."
The singer told her father off for saying she was "getting better". Asked why his daughter was late, Mitch said: "She's always late. She was fashionably late," and added that he did not mention her husband's name because he "forgot".

He said: "He's doing really well and Amy is being very supportive."

Winehouse won't be charged in alleged `drug' video

LONDON (AP) — Amy Winehouse will not face charges over video footage that allegedly shows her taking drugs, her spokesman said Wednesday.

Police questioned the Grammy-winning soul diva for nine hours last week over a January video that appears to show her smoking a pipe usually used for crack cocaine during a party at her north London home. Police began an investigation after photos from the footage were published in The Sun newspaper.

Spokesman Chris Goodman said police had finished their investigation and confirmed no charges would be brought against the 24-year-old singer.

"Amy is pleased to be able to move on and concentrate on music and particularly looks forward to seeing her fans again at eagerly awaited festival performances this summer," he said in a statement.

London police confirmed that no further action was being taken against a 24-year-old north London woman arrested last week on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs. British police do not release the names of suspects who have not been charged.

The singer, best known for her breakthrough hit "Rehab," has seen her rapid rise to fame overshadowed by media attention on her turbulent private life studded with wild nights out and run-ins with the law.

Last month she was cautioned by police for assault after she slapped a man during a night out. That means no charges were filed, but the incident was placed on her record.
